Happy New Year! We're so excited for our upcoming projects that feature new collaborations, experiments, sounds, and ideas! To start off 2011 we're taping a video for a Kickstarter project! We're producing a Blind Ear CD and would love to make all of you a part of it. We'll keep you posted about new prizes and incentives for helping make our CD possible.

We're scouting out venues for Blind Ear + percussion with Frank Tyl and Sean Statser. Look at our previous blog entry to see some of the goodies we'll be using.

Blind Ear is also teaming up again with choreographer Andrea Miller and Gallim Dance! Teaser: 4 pianos and deconstructed Chopin...more on this later ;-)

We went on a field trip with Frank and Sean to Kettles and Company in Yonkers to pick out a setup for our ALL PERCUSSION CONCERT! That place is heaven! It took us a while to decide what we wanted to use but we have our wish list and are starting to write our percussion loops.

Of course I'm going to use the Giovanni Hidalgo congas. Guess what Jakub's choices were?

Our First Road Trip/Bowdoin International Music Festival

Our trip to Brunswick, Maine should have taken only 6 hours according to Mapquest. Three traffic jams, one torrential rainstorm, two "scenic detours," and nine hours later we arrived ready to begin a week of rehearsals for Blind Ear's performance at the Bowdoin International Music Festival! Since it was our first road trip I thought it might be fun to document our journey here (sorry Jakub!)
